Masjid Reopening Plan - Yellow to Green Phase

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah! All praises belong to Allah SWT.

Although, Delaware County embarks on green phase effective tomorrow Friday June 26, our Masjid Al-Madinah will continue to follow the health safety plan in the best interest of public health. A copy of Masjid’s Green Phase Starter Plan is attached here.

We will continue with this plan through July 10 at which time, we will reassess the plan for possible modifications, if so is needed.

Face mask and own prayer rug will be required. Body temperature will be checked. Social distancing will be followed.

Daily Prayers:
• Please pray at home and DO NOT COME to the Masjid if:
– you are at high-risk for contracting COVID-19 (65 and older or have underlying health
conditions)
– have a cough, high fever, shortness of breath
– have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive with COVID-19 in the past 14
days
• Preregister online to reserve your position and your registration will be checked at entry point. If
you have not registered, you will need to register at entry point.
• Females, children, elders, sickly, feverish will not be allowed entry at this time due to safety
concern
• Five times daily prayers will be performed in the main hall
• Single entry point through basement door on the parking lot side
• Entry door will be open 10 minutes before Iqamah
• Entry door will be closed 2 minutes before Iqamah
• Must wear face mask – No Facemask, NO ENTRY, please understand, it is a safety concern
• Must bring your own prayer mat – No Prayer Mat, NO ENTRY, please understand, it is a safety
concern
• Body temperature will be checked with a no-contact thermometer at entry point, temperature
above 100 ° will NOT be allowed inside, please understand, it is a safety concern
Come to masjid with wudu, facilities for wudu or use of toilet are very limited and may not be
available, please understand, it is a safety concern
• Put shoes in a plastic bag (bag will be provided), shoe racks will not be available
• Place your prayer mat only at blue-marked spaces
• Hand sanitizing station will be available at the entry point and upon exiting
• Pray your sunnah prayers at home
• No handshake, embracing, hugging, gossiping, socializing in the Masjid
• Leave immediately after jamat prayer is over through designated exit doors
• Exit through 2 designated exit doors at main entrance on Walnut Street and 69th Street, maintain
social distancing while exiting
• Refrain from gathering outside the Masjid Building after the prayer is done
• Prayer area and frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized daily

Jumua Prayer:
• Please pray at home and DO NOT COME to the Masjid if:
– you are at high-risk for contracting COVID-19 (65 and older or have underlying health
conditions)
– have a cough, high fever, shortness of breath
– have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive with COVID-19 in the past 14
days
• Preregister online to reserve your space and your registration will be checked at entry point. If
you have not registered, you will need to register at entry point based on availability of space
• There will be 3 jamats, Khutbah start times are 1:30, 2:30, & 3:15
• Females, children, elders, sickly, feverish will not be allowed entry at this time due to safety
concern
• Enter through 3 entry points – through doors on Walnut St side, 69th St side, & basement on
parking lot side
• Entry door will be open about 40 minutes before Khutbah starts
• Entry door will be closed 2 minutes before Khutbah starts
Must come to masjid wearing face mask – No Facemask, NO ENTRY, please understand, it is
for your safety
Must bring your own prayer mat – No Prayer Mat, NO ENTRY, please understand, it is for your
safety
Come to masjid with wudu, facilities for wudu or use of toilet are very limited and may not be
available, please understand, it is for your safety
• Form a single line on sidewalks with social distancing rule on Walnut St, 69th St, & parking lot
• Body temperature will be checked with a no-contact thermometer at entry points, temperature
above 100 ° will NOT be allowed inside, please understand, it is a safety issue
• When entering through entry doors, take shoes with you in a plastic bag (bag will be provided)
and keep with you at your prayer space
• Place your prayer mat only at blue marked locations
• Hand sanitizing station will be available at the entry point and other designated locations
• Pray your sunnah prayers at home
• No handshake, embracing, hugging, gossiping, socializing in the Masjid
• Leave immediately after jamat prayer is over through designated exit doors
• Exit doors will be opened right after jamat prayer is over
• Exits
• basement through 2 designated exit doors at basement level
• main floor through 3 designated exit doors at main floor level
• second floor through 1 designated exit door on Walnut St side and 1 designated exit door
at basement level on driveway side
• Discard plastic bags in the trash cans at exit doors – DO NOT LITTER
• Refrain from gathering outside the Masjid Building after the prayer is done
• No parking in the parking lot, it will be partially closed off to facilitate ingress and egress from the
premises and to be used for possible jamat overflow
• Follow traffic regulations and DO NOT park in driveway or others properties
• Prayer area and frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized before and after Jumua
• Come with adequate time in hand as entry will be a slow process
